The San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club will be holding a lot of events to celebrate and spread the word about the great sport of curling! There will be special events scehduled around the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Check back for updates or visit www.bayareacurling.com

Curling Watch Parties If you're fascinated by curling but not quite sure what's going on, or you are an old pro and want to connect with other superfans, join the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club for a Curling Watch Party! These will be held at Stanley's Sports Bar at the Sharks Ice facilities (and possibly other sports bars) to watch the Olympics together and answer questions about the sport. Sharks Ice at San Jose - Stanley's Sports Bar, likely to be held frequently during the Olympics (we're just waiting for the final TV schedule!) Sharks Ice at Fremont - TBD Oakland Ice Center Operated by Sharks Ice - TBD
Learn-to-Curl Clinics Try curling for the first time or refresh your skills at a curling clinic. These last about 1-2 hours and cover the basics of curling and sweeping. We'll also play coached games as space and time permits. Cost TBD (but no more than $10 per person, $30 per group of four)
Sharks Ice at San Jose Tuesday January 5 - 9:00-11:30pm Tuesday February 16 - 9:15-11:30pm (*There will likely be a watch party in the restaurant/pub upstairs before this class) Tuesday February 23 - 9:15-11:30pm (*There will likely be a watch party in the restaurant/pub upstairs before this class) Saturday February 27 - time TBD (*will be coordinated with a watch party fo rthe men's gold medal game that afternoon)
Lesson Series This is the best way to get good fast! The San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club will be hosting many lesson series of varying lengths. Students will be grouped by experience level if possible
Sharks Ice at San Jose Winter mini-series beginning March 2, Tuesdays 8:30-11:30pm - $125 for a 5 week series.
Leagues Leagues are the heart and soul of club life. You can sign up as a team or an individual. Don't worry if you're just a beginner - these are instructional leagues and our drawmaster will match you with a more experienced player who will coach you as you go.
