The HP High School Hockey League wrapped up its Junior Varsity Season last week by crowning two champions, the Eastside Union Warriors and the Bellarmind Bells Navy teams.  On Wednesday, March 24th, the Warriors faced up against the Castro Valley Raptors in teh Teal Conference Championship.  The game was a defensive battle, scoreless after two periods.  The Raptors went ahead 1-0 with a shorthanded tally with 6:07 left in the third period.  The Warriors tied it up with with 2:38 left and then went on to score the game winner, while on the power play, with :44 second left in the game.  Final score, Warriors 2, Raptors 1.  By making it to the Teal Championship, both teams were awarded berths into the Black Conference playoff bracket.

In the Black Conference Championship, the Bells Navy team matched up against the Bay Area Bandits, a Peninsula regional team.  After two periods, the Bells were ahead 2-1.  In the third period, the Bandits battled back to tie up the tilt at 2-2.  With 10:16 left in the game, the Bells scored the go-ahead and were able to defend a barrage of last minute Bandit shots to seal the deal.  Final score, Bells 3, Bandits 2.  Two great games to cap off a great season!
