Vernon Davis will host the inaugural Curling with the Stars event on July 28 at Sharks Ice at San Jose.  Curling is not as easy as one may think.  Accuracy, strategy, skill and experience are more valuable in curling than traditional sports virtues of speed, stamina, and strength.  Vernon quickly learned this after AP writer Janie McCauley challenged Vernon to try Curling.  Vernon soon became a fan and supporter of the sport and joined the U.S. Men's Olympic team in Vancouver as their Honorary Captain.

Curling with the Stars will give sports fans the chance to learn how to curl from professionals and then showcase their skills in a friendly competition.  Come mingle with teammates from the 2010 Olympic Curling Team, 49ers and Bay Area celebrities.  Dinner and auction begin at 6pm with curling to follow.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Davis Family Foundation* and the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club

Dinner-only tickets are available for $100 for non-curling participants
