If you've ever dreamed of lacing up and hitting the ice in a real league, Hockey 101 is where that journey begins. This program is purpose-built to take brand-new adult players and transform them into confident, game-ready hockey players — launching them directly into the Sharks Ice Adult Hockey League (SIAHL).
Two Chances a Year to Get in the Game
Winter Session — Registration opens in November, sessions start in December. Finish strong in March with a scrimmage, then jump into the Summer SIAHL Season in April.
Summer Session — Registration opens in April, sessions kick off in May. Wrap up in August and step right into the SIAHL Fall/Winter Season in September.
15 Weeks That Will Change How You See Hockey
This isn't learn-to-skate — this is the real deal. Over 15 action-packed weeks, you'll build the essential skills every hockey player needs:
- Skating, puck handling, passing & shooting — the foundation of your game
- Player positioning, breakouts & regroups — so you know what you're doing out there
- Changing on the fly — because real hockey never stops
By the time you're done, you won't just know how to play hockey — you'll be a hockey player. You'll either form your own team or join an existing roster in SIAHL Division 9 and compete in Adult League.

You're a true beginner — maybe you just finished Adult Learn to Skate, or you've never played organized hockey before. No prior hockey experience? Perfect. That's exactly who this is designed to help.
Just make sure you come geared up and ready to go: helmet with face mask, elbow pads, gloves, shin guards, pants, and hockey skates.
